I know that Disney has the "when you wish upon a star" thing, but it is really messing with my mind to name the kingdom of Arendal (in Frozen) after an ACTUAL (though long dead) star named Earendel. Is that what actually happened???
Ha! Hi, Sarah! I've never seen the Frozen movie, I only know a few of the character names because they pop up in crossword puzzles every so often! So I can't tell you whether the star Earendel inspired the name Arendal.
I CAN tell you Earendel was originally an Old English word meaning "Morning Star," and that J.R.R. Tolkien lifted it for his character Eärendil the Mariner who appears in Tolkien's The Silmarillion.
And that concludes this morning's word association game!! Thanks as always for your kind and jolly support!!
